The activities of the Neuro-Psycholinguistics Laboratory are carried out by a dedicated, creative, and interdisciplinary team of professionals.
We have brought together experts from various scientific fields to create an open and inclusive platform where language, mind, and brain are explored as a unified system.
Founder and Director
Siranush Hovhannisyan, Linguist (Armenia)
The founder and scientific director of the laboratory is Dr. Siranush Hovhannisyan, Candidate of Philological Sciences (PhD), researcher at the Department of Applied Linguistics of the H. Acharyan Institute of Language, National Academy of Sciences of Armenia. She is also responsible for international cooperation and science communication at the Institute, and serves as the Chair of the Youth Council of the NAS RA.
Siranush Hovhannisyan lectures at Yerevan State University and the Russian-Armenian (Slavonic) University. She is also the scientific secretary of the pan-Armenian academic journal Vem.
Her professional interests include neuro- and psycholinguistics, ontological and phenomenological linguistics, as well as clinical and anthropological linguistics. She studies the structure of linguistic thinking, cognitive flexibility, psychosemantic methodologies, philosophy of communication, speech pathologies, and related topics.
Core Staff
The core team of the laboratory includes linguists, psychologists, neurocognitive researchers, and IT specialists who are involved in the development of research projects, the design and implementation of experiments, data analysis, and the preparation of scientific publications.
