A new Scientific Council has been formed at the H. Acharyan Language Institute

On 17 July 2026, Tigran Sirunyan, Acting Director of the Hrachya Acharian Language Institute of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia, convened a general meeting of the Institute’s scientific staff with the following agenda: Election of the new members of the Scientific Council.

Thirty-nine members of the Institute’s scientific staff participated in the meeting.

A new Scientific Council was formed through a closed, secret ballot.

In addition to the ex officio members, the Scientific Council included the following invited members: Heriknaz Vorskanian, Director of the Manuk Abeghyan Literature Institute; Tork Dalalyan, Deputy Director for Science of the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography; and Anna Abajian, Head of the Chair of History of the Armenian Language and General Linguistics at Yerevan State University.

By vote, the following Institute researchers were elected to the Scientific Council: Lavrenti Hovhannisyan, Haykanush Mesropyan, Nektar Simonyan, Armen Sargsyan, Sargis Avetian, and Jemma Barnasyan.
