On September 24–25 of this year, the Hrachya Acharyan Language Institute hosted the international conference “Issues of Western Armenian in Armenia and the Diaspora”.
The conference brought together representatives of universities, research centres, and Armenian schools from Armenia, the Diaspora, and different parts of the world, who presented their research on the study, preservation, and development of Western Armenian both in person and online.
The conference addressed a number of issues related to Western Armenian linguistics, literary studies, contemporary usage, and teaching methods, as well as prospects for the preservation, development, and scholarly study of the language.
